My husband will do anything to save dollars, and he is a very thrifty man and sometimes it drives me crazy! I’m happy that we have a firm budget in our household and that he is undoubtedly good with money.
But he often makes decisions that are inconvenient and uncomfortable for me.
One of our biggest continual fights is setting the temperature control for the central heating and cooling system. Because he is so thrifty, he never wants to run the air conditioner or furnace in the house. I recognize that utility bills can be awfully expensive, but the temperatures affect how good I am at my work. If I’m cold or burning hot, I’m not going to be an effective writer at my job. He also worries a lot about the wear and tear that we’re accumulating on our central heating and cooling system. Because we personally bought this heating and cooling device 6 years ago, he feels especially protective of the air handling devices. He absolutely hates it when all of us have to call a central heating and cooling specialist to inspect to be a HVAC idea because he sees dollars flying out the window. That’s why, he continually uses bargain HVAC dealerships that I absolutely despise. I realize that they offer unbelievable deals on routine diagnostic and service services, but that’s because their certified heating and cooling workers are rather gruff. I always get stuck managing the HVAC appointment and I honestly don’t care about being around these rough and tumble HVAC specialists. If he wants to keep saving on our HVAC service costs, I wish that my husband would be present when the ex-felon air quality control specialist is in our house.
