There’s nothing more stressful than going to the doctor’s office, in my humble opinion.
Every appointment is always dreadful, it never changes. They all generally go the same way. I arrive at the perfect time to fill out paperwork and be prepared for the appointment, I sit down in the waiting room, and nobody talks to me again for well over an hour. I then freeze my butt off in the cold air, wondering why the a/c is turned up to level 11 around all of these sick people. Well, these days it’s even more nerve-wracking to attend a doctor’s appointment. With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging on, I don’t feel comfortable putting myself in the same indoor air as a bunch of sick people who are breathing their respiratory contamination into the room. Yesterday, I had no choice but to attend a doctor’s appointment for a small respiratory irritation. I knew that the powerful a/c idea in the waiting room wasn’t making me feel any better as my sinuses continued to dry out in the cold, artificial indoor air. The other thing that was honestly bothering me was the sound of our doctor hacking her lungs out which carried perfectly through the fancy air duct system. I never thought I would say this, but I wish they would have turned up the A/C unit. No, I didn’t want to have more cold, dry air shoved into our lungs but I also did not want to hear her sickly coughing leading up to my appointment.
