There’s nothing more stressful than going to the doctor’s office, in my humble opinion.
I’ve never had a wonderful experience at a doctor’s appointment before in my life.
They all generally go the same way. I arrive at the perfect time to fill out paperwork and be prepared for the appointment, I sit down in the waiting room, and nobody talks to me again for an hour. I freeze my arse off resting in their abundant HVAC system, wondering why the A/C is turned up to level 11 around all of these sick people. These days it’s even more nerve-wracking to attend a doctor’s appointment. With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging on, I don’t feel comfortable putting myself in the same building with a whole bunch of people with unknown illnesses. Although, I didn’t have any option but to attend a doctor’s appointment for a small respiratory irritation. I knew that the powerful A/C plan in the waiting room wasn’t making me feel any better as my sinuses continued to dry out in the cold, artificial indoor air. The other thing that was legitimately bothering me was the sound of our doctor hacking her lungs out which carried perfectly through the costly air duct system. I never thought I would say this, but I wish they would have turned up the A/C unit, and no, I didn’t want to have more cold, dry air shoved into my lungs. I also didn’t want to hear her sickly coughing leading up to our appointment.
