There’s nothing more stressful than going to the doctor’s office, in my humble opinion.
I’ve never had a good experience at a doctor’s appointment before in my life.
They all generally go the same way. I arrive at the perfect time to fill out paperwork and be prepared for my appointment, I sit down in the waiting room, and nobody talks to me again for an hour. I freeze my ass off sitting in their abundant Heating and Cooling system, wondering why the air conditioning is turned up to level 11 around all of these sick people. Well, these days it’s even more nerve-wracking to attend a doctor appointment. With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging on, I don’t feel comfortable putting myself in the same indoor air as a bunch of sick people who are breathing their respiratory contamination into the room. Last week I had no choice but to attend a doctor’s appointment for a small respiratory irritation. I knew that the powerful air conditioning system in the waiting room wasn’t making me feel any better as my sinuses continued to dry out in the cold, artificial indoor air. The other thing that was truly bothering me was the sound of my doctor hacking her lungs out which carried perfectly through the expensive ductwork system. I never thought I would say this, but I wish they would have turned up the AC unit. No, I didn’t want to have more cold, dry air shoved into my lungs… but I also didn’t want to hear her sickly coughing leading up to my appointment.
