You can make the transition to the natural look

In case you haven’t noticed, natural wood furniture is really all the rage stylistically. Long gone are those days of the polished oak furniture and cherry furniture being featured in dwelling magazines. Everyone seems to prefer the “natural” look. Here’s the setback, how are you supposed to utilize the natural woods furniture when you’re phasing out all of the metal and iron furniture and decorations from a decade back? Have no fear, I’m here to guide you. I’ve been an interior designer for a long period of time and have transitioned people from shag carpet to 70s wallpaper, 80s wallpaper to 90s Tuscan beauty and 90s Tuscan beauty to the 00’s current Hollywood regency. Been there, done all those things. Transition from metals to natural wood will not be a difficult challenge for me. First and foremost, you must get rid of your metal tea tables and clear chairs. Got it? Throw them out. We’re done. They’re not coming back. You have to trust me on that. Now, we can get specific with things. I do want you to keep those black metal ladder display cases that I realize you have. They’ll work in the space you actually have. Also, make sure to keep your furniture. Whether you have custom leather furniture or you already have a natural wooden table and/or natural wooden chairs, leather furniture will certainly match. Leather is the khaki of custom furniture. I also want you to keep your metal wall decorations- if and only if they are not actually painted. Black only. Maybe you can see the transitional masterpiece I’m trying to put together here. Natural wood and black metal will work together as long as the metal is not actually competing for the space in your dwelling. Natural wood key furniture pieces, black metal decorations. You can do it. We’ll get through this style transition together!
